The risk of progression from MCI to AD: stages defined by cognition, function, and behavior. Lead Investigator: Tzeyu Michaud Institution : University of Nebraska Medical Center E-Mail : tzeyu.michaud@unmc.edu Proposal ID : 616 Proposal Description: Researchers have advocated to define AD stages by three symptom domains-cognition, function and behavior- instead of the cognitive measurement only. Our study aims to estimate the transition probabilities from MCI to AD and among AD stages defined by cognition, function, and behavior, and death while controlling the demographic, BMI, family history, genotype, medication history, and comorbidity covariates. The estimate transition probabilities by these three domains could be further applied in the decision-analytic model for the AD intervention modeling.
